1 Click on the Discounts tab.
2 Click on a supplier rate sheet name in the Supplier Rate Sheet table (i.e. ABC SUPPLIER).
3 Click on a discount rate class in the Discount Description table.
(i.e. COPPER PIPE)
You should now be looking at a window that looks similar to this:

4 We must tell Winpriser which catalogue items belong to this rate class. To assign catalogue items to the selected discount rate class, click on the Assign button. The following window will appear:

The Rate Assignments window lists all the groups and components contained in the current price catalogue in tree view.
5 From this tree view list, select the COPPER PIPE group as shown below:

6 The checkboxes to the left of each group description allow you to mark an entire product group including all components and sizes contained in that group. Click in the checkbox next to the COPPER PIPE group description. When you release the mouse button, the rate assignment process will begin.
When all of the rate assignments for COPPER PIPE have been completed, the Rate Assignments window will be refreshed and the COPPER PIPE group description will be temporarily expanded to show you that all product components and sizes in the group were assigned to the active discount rate class.

7 Click on the + symbol beside the COPPER PIPE group name. You will see that each of the components of COPPER PIPE has been checkmarked indicating that all sizes in the component have been assigned. If you click on the + symbol next to one of the components, you will see that all the sizes below that component have checkmarks next to their descriptions:
You can prevent components and individual sizes from being assigned by removing the checkmark beside the component or size. Simply click on the checkmark to remove it.
You can assign components or individual sizes in a group by clicking on the + sign beside the group or the component and placing a checkmark in the checkbox beside the component or size.
To close the Rate Assignments window and return to the Rates window, click on the X symbol at the top right corner of the Rate Assignments window.
8 As you return to the Rates window, the new product item rate assignments that you made in the Rate Assignments window are saved to the active price catalogue. Should you want to go back and review the assignments that you have made for a discount rate class, simply click on the Assign button and you will be returned to the Rate Assignments window. All of the groups, components, and sizes that you previously assigned will be checkmarked. To delete a product item rate assignment, remove the checkmark next to any group, component, or size description.
When your supplier revises your discounts, you simply return to the Rates window and enter the new Discount% for each discount rate class. All items that are assigned to that class will automatically receive the new discount. You do not have to revise the discount rate for each of the catalogue items affected by a rate change.
9 If you wish, continue assigning product items to other discount classes.
10 To see the results of your efforts, close the Rates window, click on the Group tab, change the catalogue item detail view to Resale Pricing Properties and locate a COPPER PIPE product item in the catalogue. The detail side of the Catalogue Lookup window should now display your newly assigned discount rate as below:
