| Applying Price Updates using Winpriser's Internet Updates Feature
Follow these steps to update your Winpiser Catalogue (and other programs) with Internet Updates - 1. Start Winpriser
The Winpriser Installation created a shortcut icon on your Windows desktop. Double click on the Winpriser icon to start the Winpriser program.

Click Window's Start - Programs - Winpriser - Winpriser to start the program. 2. Open the Winpriser Catalogue Click on the Catalogues toolbar icon.

Select the File | Open Price Catalogue menu option from the Winpriser main menu: The Open Catalogue dialog window will appear on your monitor.  The Open Catalogue dialog window displays all of the Winpriser price catalogues that have been activated on your system. Some of these price catalogues may be Allpriser publications and some may be user created supplement price catalogues that you have created. Click on the RedBook (or GoldBook, BlueBook, SliverBook) catalogue icon, and then click on the Open button to open the highlighted price catalogue. 3. Start the Price Update Wizard Click on the Update button in the Catalogue toolbar.  The Catalogue Price Update Wizard Step 1 window will appear:  REDBOOK.DAT is the standard name for all update files for the RedBook Computer Pricing Service. Updates for the BlueBook Waterworks Pricing Service are delivered in BLUEBOOK.DAT files. The GoldBook Luxury Service uses GOLDBOOK.DAT and the Silver HVAC Service files are called SLVRBOOK.DAT. 4. Internet Updates Click on the Internet button in the Price Update Wizard Step 1 window.  The Internet Update Manager window will appear.  The Internet Update Manager window lists all recent updates. A green light beside a Mailing# indicates that the update has already been applied to your catalogue. A yellow light means that the update is new and has not yet been applied. If the update includes a Remark such as “Please Download Bulletin”, click on the update in the Update Manager List to to display the bulletin. 5. Download Update File Place a checkmark beside the update or updates that you wish to apply to your catalogue.
Click the F2-Download button to begin downloading the update. 6. Loading Update File The Price Update Wizard Step 3 window shows you information about this update and reports Winpriser’s progress as it reads the update file.  Click the Next>> button. 7. Preview Update File The Price Update Wizard Step 4 window provides the opportunity to review the items in this update before it is applied to your catalogue. Click the Preview button if you would like to preview the update.
Click the Next>> button to continue. 8. Apply Update File Price Update Wizard Step 5 applies the changes in this update to your catalogue.  If you do not wish to apply the changes at this time, click on the circle beside “No, do not apply…” Click the Next>> button. 9. Update File Applied The Price Update Wizard Step 6 window shows you Winpriser’s progress as it applies the different types of changes to the catalogue.  Click the Next>> button. 10. Convert Update File If you are using Winpriser Price Updates with software other than Winpriser, the Price Update Wizard Step 7 window allows you to convert the update information into the specific file format that your software requires. If you are using Internet Updates and your other software uses our standard REDBOOK.DAT update file, you should use Convert to create a REDBOOK.DAT file on diskette or hard disk. Use the converted file to update your other software.  Click on the Convert button to begin the conversion. If you do not need to convert the update click the Finished button to return to the Catalogue window. 11. Choose Conversion Format Select the Conversion File Format that is appropriate for your other software and click the Convert button.  Selecting the Winpriser Update Service format produces a REDBOOK.DAT update file.
Specify a drive and a folder to be used to store the converted file. Click the Save button. Click the Ok button when the conversion is completed. Click the Close button on the Price Update Conversion window. 12. Finished
Click the Finished button to return to the Catalogue window.
